My main inspiration for the collection derives from my visit to the National Trust property Calke Abbey in Derbyshire. The visit to the house was a key ingredient in producing my bespoke collection. My project comprises object repetition that encompasses an antiquated and hectic world. My collection is enclosed within obsessions and collected personal treasures.
The created garments have all taken this theme and contain heavy embellishment, including a variety of beads, sequins and feathers.
As part of the hunting theme I wanted to push this idea further and creatively produced a collection of jewellery and accessory pieces, made from bird wings and crow?s feet which have been beautifully placed alongside a hunting plaque.

My collection is a mixture of Anglo-mania and a hunters everyday world represented within a traditional Englishmans fantasy world.

The heart and soul of my work lies in my love of the weird and the wonderful. My passion for unique imagery and hand embroidery compliment this extremely well.
My creations are compositions of textiles that demonstrate aristocratic narratives and display eccentric forms of subdued representations. Repetition of objects in the world of my conception, Sir Vauncey Frederickson, has become a focal point. Frederickson lives in an antiquated and hectic world surrounded by his obsessions and collected treasures.
I have aimed to play with interesting notions which have a quirky element to them and then explored the resulting potential. I adore creating collages and statements amongst examples of my textile designs.
The style and techniques that I combine are imperative to my work. I am inspired by society and explorations in my everyday life. Fashion ideas I have conceived have taken a strange and unexpected twist, culminating in large, over sized clothing designs. Thus, capturing the beauty of my collages alongside the different weights and textures of my fabrics.
I take great pride in using materials which create juxtaposing attractions and themes; I am devoted to generating unexpected designs and imagery.
